North East Ashburton Water Reticulation

Properties in the rural-residential area to the north-east of Ashburton area currently source drinking water independently from wells on each property. The shallow groundwater quality in the area is sometimes not of a high standard.

We have included budget for 2021/22 to proceed with detailed design of water reticulation in the Residential D zoned land in this area. The installation project is tentatively scheduled for 2024/25 (subject to sufficient community support at that time), but because we will have designs available, discrete sections of this work could be bought forward to 2022/23 or 2023/24 if there is sufficient support from local property owners.
