Ashburton Airport billing modernised

Ashburton District Council has engaged Avdata to undertake monitoring and invoicing of aeronautical movements at the Ashburton Airport.
Group Manager of Business Support Leanne Macdonald says the change won't affect most local users but will help Council to identify and fairly bill casual users.
“We’ll now be able to track aeronautical movements in real time at the airport, improve our billing process and help us meet our compliance reporting requirements to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)”, she said.
"There will be no change for airport users who prefer to pay an annual landing fee - this will still be invoiced directly by Council."
Casual airport users who also land at other airports using Avdata to monitor aeronautical movements will only receive one bill from Avdata.
