WAKA KOTAHI ADVISORY: Traffic management changes on SH1 Tinwald

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency has advised it will be extending and modifying the temporary traffic management in place at the SH1 intersection with Lagmhor Road and Agnes Street, as part of its work to install traffic lights there.
What are we doing?
Due to a number of factors (unknown buried services and weather), the current traffic management layouts on Lagmhor Road and Agnes Street will be extended and modified for an additional period of time.
Traffic and pedestrian impacts
The current road closure on Lagmhor Road will be extended for an additional week. From Monday 28 August, a one way traffic management layout will be installed on Lagmhor Road, with traffic travelling westbound from SH1 onto Lagmhor Road. This traffic management layout will be in place until Monday 2 October, with further updates expected closer to the time.
On Monday 21 August, the road closure on Agnes Street will be removed and replaced with a one way traffic management layout, with traffic travelling eastbound from SH1 onto Agnes Road. The one way traffic management layout will be in place for 2 weeks, until Friday 1 September.
Our friendly staff on site can also assist with any queries. Footpath access around our work site will be maintained. A 30kph speed limit will be in place so we can keep our workers and everyone safe.
Driveway access
Access to properties will be maintained. However, we may need to work in front of driveways from time to time. We will try to give you plenty notice of this. However, if you need to get into or out of your property and we are in the way, please just talk to one of our friendly staff and we will make sure you can use your driveway.
We are doing our best to give you accurate timeframes but unforeseen issues like weather, buried obstructions and unknown services can make work take longer. We’re sorry for any disruption and thank you for your patience.
