Work starting soon to remove unhealthy trees on Morgan Street, Methven
Published: 29 April 2020

Arborists will begin removing the ash trees along Morgan Street in Methven from Monday 5 May, as the trees have become unhealthy and are deteriorating.
The Council will be planting new trees in their place that will be specially selected to enhance the landscape and add aesthetic value to the area.

Letters were sent to nearby residents several weeks ago to notify of the upcoming work, and with COVID-19 restrictions now at Level Three, the Council can safely begin removing the trees.
It's expected the work will take one week to complete, weather permitting.
Residents needing to contact the arborist when work begins can reach them by calling 0800 559 255.
