Tinwald pool now closed for the season

The Tinwald Community Pool is now closed for the season, just two days shy of the scheduled closure (Sunday, 1 March) due to limited lifeguard resourcing.
Staffing the Tinwald pool is sometimes a challenge, expressed Infrastructure Services Group Manager, Neil McCann.
"We are always in need of trained lifeguards and work hard to schedule staffing levels to ensure the safety of users at our pools. Unfortunately, we've had limited resource in this area due to staffing availability, particularly as students - who usually staff these roles, have begun returning to university.
"We apologise for the inconvenience," Mr McCann added.
Regular users of the Tinwald pool are encouraged to visit the EA Networks Centre pool facility instead. The popular pool inflatables will be installed and available for the community's enjoyment on Saturday, 29 February from 1-4pm.
The Tinwald pool is scheduled to open again in November 2020. Visit the EA Networks Centre website or follow their Facebook Page to stay informed on hours of operation.
