The Ashburton District Council are pleased to announce that following an Extraordinary Council Meeting on 23 December, Naylor Love have been confirmed as the preferred contractor for the construction of the new Ashburton Library and Civic Centre building.

Detailed contract negotiations between Council and Naylor Love will now commence with the outcome of these negotiations to be announced as soon as possible in 2021.

The announcement of Naylor Love as the preferred contractor follows an open tender process and assessment of these tenders by a panel including councillors, senior Council staff, and independent third party experts.​
