A five year operations and maintenance contract for local roads around Mid Canterbury is expected to commence on 1 December 2020*, and tenders are anticipated to open in early June 2020.
The current contract to maintain the district's local roads is set to finish at the end of November.
The new tender will be advertised for approximately two months for applications. Early in this period, there will be a compulsary tenderers' meeting and network tour.
Organisations wishing to apply for the contract will be given the opportunity to present their proposals towards the end of the tender period.
Following an evaluation, the tender is expected to be awarded at a Council meeting in September, providing the successful tenderer with enough time to prepare for the contract to start.
