CANCELLED - National mobile alert test coming 22 November

Millions of mobile phones will receive a test emergency message next week as the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) test the country's Emergency Mobile Alert service.
The test text message will be sent between 6pm and 7pm on Sunday 22 November and is expected to be received on around 4 million phones across the country.
The alerts are message about emergencies sent by authorised emergency agencies to capable mobile phones. The alerts are designed to keep people safe. They can be targeted to areas affected by serious hazards and are only sent when there is a serious threat to life, health or property and, as in this case, for testing purposes.
Can my phone receive Emergency Mobile Alerts?
The Get Ready website has a list of phones capable of receiving Emergency Mobile Alerts. If your phone is on the list, ensure the phone is updated to the latest available operating system.
