The days may be shorter and colder this time of year, but that isn't stopping Ashburton from inspiring a little cheer to kick the winter blues, with the help of some delightful night-time lights.

Each night the East Street trees in the Ashburton CBD are all aglow with thousands of fairy lights, which have been carefully wrapped up the trunks and into the branches. The effect can be seen right along the street, and even across on State Highway One.

The festive additions are especially thanks to Four Seasons Tree Care who went to great lengths to install the lights and maintain the trees at the same time. ​
