School Holiday Activities: Tūhura Tuarangi
About the event
Discover the wonders of space using arts and crafts these school holidays! Over summer we will be running three activities alongside the exhibition Tūhura Tuarangi: Aotearoa in Space.
- The Compass of Tāwhaki
(Tūhura Tuarangi discover outer space activity: Mōhiotaka)
- Make a compass to help guide Tāwhaki and his waka through the stars and to the heavens.
- An all ages activity as part of the Tūhura Tuarangi: Aotearoa in Space exhibition.

- The Star Cloak of Rakinui
(Tūhura Tuarangi discover outer space activity: Mīhara)
- Join our community weaving project and help create a beautiful cloak of stars for Tāne (god of forests) to gift his father Rakinui (god of the sky).
- An all ages activity as part of the Tūhura Tuarangi: Aotearoa in Space exhibition.

- Space Dreaming

- What would you like future space travel to look like? Design your dream space shuttle!
