Two O'Clock Tours | Suffrage in Stitches
About the event
Curated by Wellington Museum, Suffrage in Stitches features a 300-metre long textile work made up of 546 individual panels, representing the length of the Suffrage Petition from 1893 (274 metres long with a page count of 546).
You can explore the textile world of Suffrage in Stitches at our next Two O'Clock Tour!
Come along at 2pm on Sunday 03 December to hear our lovely Front of House Assistant Jacqui speak about this collaborative exhibition, and how it celebrates the 130th anniversary of women's suffrage in Aotearoa New Zealand. You'll learn about the amazing textile works that make up the exhibition, the stories of the people behind these works, and perhaps gain some more knowledge about the suffrage movement itself.
