About the event

An artist preoccupied with the philosophical questions surrounding painting and its purpose in the 21st century, Michael Greaves tests how memories and ideas about the things of the world can be translated compellingly onto the painted surface.

At our first Two O'Clock Tour of 2025, we will be exploring Greaves' exhibition Falling if not Flying, which is a continuation of the last four years of his practice - a period bound up with the COVID pandemic.

Come along at 2pm on Sunday 26 January to explore the abstract and colourful world of Falling if not Flying with our Programmes Coordinator, Bobbie. Discuss Greaves' pictorial language and discover the context surrounding the works, including their connection to the story of Icarus and Daedalus.
