Domain Development Plans

​​Domain Development Plans set out the community’s aspirations and long term vision for a domain. They are different from Reserve Management Plans which are more about the day-to-day management of a domain or reserve. While development plans are non-statutory documents (not legally required) they still involve public consultation given they are assets owned by the public.

Ashburton Domain Development Plan

The Ashburton Domain Development Plan was adopted by Council in October 2020, following consultation with our community.
The plan covers the improvements we will undertake over the next 30 years, with the aim to:​
  • celebrate the waterway,
  • create a cohesive play environment,
  • increase access from the town, and
  • e​stablish a Central Hub at the heart of the Domain.

Tinwald Domain Development Plan

The Tinwald Domain Development Plan was prepared in 2010 and subsequently reviewed in 2018. Both documents were formally adopted by Council on 30 October 2018.
